BBCDC Board Member and Board Secretary Rosalyn K. Adams was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and has resided in the Carson, CA community for over 20 years. She attended California State University Northridge and, also, Bryan College of Court Reporting. As a Shorthand Court Reporter, Rosalyn has served three federal court Judges in the United States District Court over an 11-year-period.
Inspired by the vision of her late father and Organizing Pastor, Dr. Rocellia Johnson, of the Bethany Baptist Church of West Los Angeles, Rosalyn joined BBCDC because she believes in the principles for which it was designed and its mission of “serving the community through economic sustainability, growth and development in housing, education, job creation and revitalization.”
For Rosalyn, “community” is defined as: People who live, work and thrive in a shared demographic area. She believes in educational empowerment enhanced by the biblical principle that “if you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day; teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
